Me to We ambassador Molly Burke has faced and battled darkness for nearly her entire life. In a very physical sense, Molly faces darkness in her world caused by retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic, degenerative eye disease that started stealing her vision at age four, resulting in a near-total loss of vision by age 14. In a more metaphorical sense, Molly has battled a different kind of darkness as well—the besieging of her sense of dignity and self-worth brought on by the cruel bullying of her peers because of her condition.
