For more than three decades our founders, Dr. Henry Klassen and Dr. Jing Yang, have confronted what others considered impossible to solve: a treatment for Retinitis Pigmentosa. Their mission and discovery has been pivotal, as it has been focused solely on helping the lives of others who are faced with RP.
Dr. Klassen and Dr. Yang believe that many of the most inconceivable problems can only be solved through creative and innovative solutions; for that reason Dr. Klassen and Dr. Yang have broken through barriers that have confronted scientists for decades.
The Foundation for Retinal Regeneration initiative is focused towards finding a cure for retinal disease through continued research efforts. Our immediate vision will ensure that people who are affected with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) will one day have the ability to regain vision.
The current funding Dr. Klassen and Dr. Yang have received is small compared to the amount of financial challenges they face. Despite these challenge and numerous federal funding cuts, Dr. Klassen and Dr. Yang have made a personal commitment to ensure that our research and development will continue until treatments are available for those in need.
